“That is the last book I need to put back on the shelf and then I can leave for the holidays!” I thought, when a couple of guys from the other side of the corridor started talking loudly and taking a lot of books from the shelf I had just ordered. I could have gone there and ask to stay quiet but talking with stranger has always been difficult for me, besides, it was already closing time so I could have just waited for Rose to say it on the interphone for everyone. So I waited and saw the amount of books they and a couple more people have taken. This meant at least a full hour more, but after that I could have left for a whole week, I just had to endure it a bit more.
“The library is closing, please leave all the books in the trolleys, thank you for your cooperation. We will be opening tomorrow at 8 o’clock. Goodnight”, Rose just announced at the microphone, so I rushed towards the trolleys and putting back the books were they belonged in the most fastest way I could.
The day after I was at the hotel I booked a couple of weeks earlier and at 4pm there was going to be my favourite thing in the whole world, bungee-jumping! I always looked forward this moment every year, it was my time to shine and finally be free, no more books and dim lights, I could fly, even for just a moment, and scream in front of people and, the funniest thing, they could scream with me when they saw me jumping off of a bridge. The energy I get after fills me with joy and the rest of the day is always fun and full of surprises.
